Terms of Service

Courses are licensed per learner. Access begins upon payment confirmation (or, for free resources, upon successful registration). You must provide accurate contact details so we can deliver course updates and administrative notices.

Your access may be time-limited depending on the specific course or cohort (for example, cohort-based sessions may include a defined start and end date). Where access limits apply, they will be displayed during checkout or enrollment.

We may update course content to improve quality, correct errors, or keep materials current. Updates do not materially reduce the value of what you purchased.

Prices are shown in USD unless otherwise stated. Taxes may apply depending on your location and applicable law. You authorize us (and our payment processors) to charge your selected payment method for the total amount shown at checkout.

Live cohorts: cancellations with at least 7 days notice before the cohort start date receive a full refund. Cancellations within 7 days of the start date are eligible for a 50% credit toward a future cohort (credit is non-transferable and must be used within 12 months).

Digital/self-paced materials: unless required by law, purchases are generally non-refundable after access has been granted, because the content is delivered immediately and can be consumed right away.

Be respectful. No harassment, hate speech, threats, doxxing, or discriminatory conduct. Participate in a way that supports a safe learning environment for all learners, instructors, and staff.

You may not share, resell, redistribute, or publicly post course materials (including recordings, scripts, worksheets, slides, or handouts) without written permission. Unauthorized recording of live sessions is prohibited unless explicitly approved in writing.

Keep login credentials private. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, including conduct that disrupts classes, endangers others, or infringes intellectual property.

All course materials and the Services are owned by PlayFolk or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your personal learning purposes.

You may not copy, modify, create derivative works, distribute, sell, rent, or sublicense any part of the Services or materials, except where expressly permitted in writing.

If the Services include community areas (e.g., discussion rooms, feedback threads), you remain responsible for what you post. Do not upload content you don’t have rights to share.

By submitting content (such as written reflections or performance clips) where sharing is enabled, you grant PlayFolk a limited license to host, display, and distribute that content within the Services as necessary to provide feedback and operate the platform. You can request removal where feasible, subject to legal and operational constraints.

We provide education and coaching designed to support your craft and career readiness. We do not guarantee auditions, roles, bookings, representation, income, or specific outcomes.

The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control (e.g., internet outages, platform disruptions, force majeure events).

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlayFolk shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from or relating to your use of the Services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlayFolk’s total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid to PlayFolk for the specific course giving rise to the claim during the 6 months preceding the event.

We use cookies and local storage to support core features such as preferences (e.g., theme) and consent. If you accept cookies via the site’s cookie banner, we store your consent choice locally so the banner does not reappear.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Effective date" above indicates when the latest version became active. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

If a dispute arises, please contact us first and we’ll try to resolve it informally. If we can’t resolve the dispute, either party may pursue claims in a competent court, unless mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.

You agree that any claim must be brought in your individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding, where permitted by law.
